Brad grew up in Southern California, went East for college and holds a B.A. in Economics from Colby College, Waterville, Maine. He remained in New England for graduate work and received his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Prior to becoming active as an institutional investor in venture capital partnerships, Brad served as an officer of three banks (Citibank, European American and Fidelity Bank in NYC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and London). In London, he established and ran for eight years Bradford Kelly Associates Ltd., in the fields of investor relations and corporate finance, while simultaneously serving as Finance Director of Oxford Analytica Ltd. and Managing Director of Vineyard Ministries International (UK) Ltd.
In 1989, he distinguished himself in co-founding and building one of the earliest venture capital fund-of-funds, the predecessor of our current operation where we first came together as a team.
Brad's leisure activities include skiing, sailing, swimming and reading, especially biographies and historical novels. He also volunteers time with India Christian Ministries which establishes village churches and schools in the State of Andhra Pradesh. Brad is married with one son and resides in both Oklahoma and California.
“It is all about the people and the process. Good people and good process result in good decisions. This is a maxim we apply in assessing not only venture capital firms, but also ourselves.”
